Ms. Pantaleo, head of the firm\u2019s Elder Law and Special Needs Practice Group, for example, will speak at a CLE entitled \u201cAn Introduction to Elder Law and Special Needs Planning,\u201d presented by the Westchester County Bar Association\u2019s Trust & Estates and Elder Law committees, on Thursday, January 16.<\/p>\n
Elder law is the area of legal practice providing counsel in matters concerning health care, long-term care planning, estate planning (including preparation of wills, trusts, and advance directives), asset preservation and protection, Medicaid applications, and guardianship. Under Ms. Pantaleo\u2019s leadership, the Elder Law and Special Needs Practice Group works closely with clients\u2019 family advisors, including family offices, financial advisors, CPAs, social workers, and healthcare professionals, in providing such services.<\/p>\n
An educator, as well as an attorney, Ms. Pantaleo has taught law at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City and Pace Law School in White Plains. She previously spoke at the New York State Bar Association\u2019s \u201cBasic Elder Law\u201d CLE in November.<\/p>\n
